The UMBC Interculturalists Graduate Student Organization was founded in the fall of 2010 with the purpose of uniting INCC students, promoting professional development, and mutual support, and increasing understanding of the intercultural aspects of Baltimore culture. We organize social and academic activities throughout the year, such as film screenings, “untours of Baltimore city”and forums on how to improve the INCC program. In the spring of 2011, the Interculturalists held the First Intercultural Communication Graduate Research Expo featuring interdisciplinary presentations from graduate students around the country. If you would like more information about the Interculturalists or to get involved, please contact the Graduate Program Director.
